Joshua Parker, MD

Pediatrics

Joshua Parker, MD, FAAP cares for children from birth to college-age. As a Stanford-trained physician, he greatly enjoys the day-to-day acute issues that come up but his great love is teaching children and their families about their health, especially over the long term.

Dr. Parker graduated from Brown University with a degree in biology. While there he played for the men’s varsity soccer team. After graduation, he was a middle- and high school teacher where his responsibilities included teaching, coaching, mentoring, and being a dorm parent. After four years of teaching, he followed in his father’s footsteps and embarked on his dream of becoming a pediatrician.

He graduated from SUNY-Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, NY, and completed his residency at Stanford University. In addition to his work in primary care, Dr. Parker has also worked in the Stanford and Sequoia Hospital NICU where he cared for sick newborns and attended high-risk deliveries.

Dr. Parker loves being part of his patients’ lives. He is dedicated to building relationships with both children (regardless of their ages) and their families. Beyond his role as a child’s pediatrician, he gets immense joy in guiding and supporting individuals in their journey to become parents. Dr. Parker believes that ‘parents know their children best’ and looks to incorporate this knowledge when making health and wellness decisions. It is with great honor that Dr. Parker embraces his role as a member of a child’s care team.

When not at work Dr. Parker enjoys spending time with his teenage daughters and living healthily through both exercise (running, swimming, yoga) and healthy eating.
